Sophomore outfielder Nuri Todd had an outstanding 2026 season for the SMCC baseball team, helping the Cougars finish as National Runner-Up at the 2026 NJCAA Division World Series. Todd batted .281 with 57 runs, 55 hits, nine doubles, five home runs, 31 RBIs, 37 walks, and 17 stolen bases in 65 games for SMCC, and had a strong showing in the postseason. He homered, drove in two, scored twice, and walked twice in a win over CGCC on May 8 to help SMCC repeat as Region I Division II Tournament Champions, and homered and added two runs, two RBis, and a walk in a win against Parkland College (IL) on May 23 at the NJCAA DII World Series. He will transfer to NCAA Division II Metro State Denver to continue his intercollegiate baseball career.
