The South Mountain Community College women's basketball team lost 93-18 to Pima CC in an ACCAC Division II contest at the SMCC Gym on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Freshman Saleen Rios came off the bench to lead the Cougars with eight points, while freshman Jaya Harris led SMCC with a season-high seven rebounds.
Rios made three field goals and added five rebounds in the game. Harris added an assist to her seven boards, three of which came on the offensive glass.
Freshman Genesis Rios posted five points, including a 3-pointer. She added one rebound and one assist. Freshmen Kashari Bullard and Janelle Smith each had six rebounds, with Bullard adding two ponts and a block and Smith recording two steals and a block.
Freshman Jayden Lynch had six rebounds, two steals, and an assist, while freshman Victoria Benito finished with two points, two rebounds, and a steal.
