The South Mountain Community College women's basketball team lost 89-25 to Phoenix College in an ACCAC Division II contest at the PC Gym on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Freshman Janelle Smith scored a season-high 12 points and freshman Jaya Harris recorded a season-high six rebounds and four steals in the contest.
Smith finished 3 of 6 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free throw line in 33 minutes. She added three rebounds, one assist, and one block.
All six of Harris' boards came on the defensive glass, and she added a block to her four steals in 26 minutes.
Freshman Genesis Rios was second on the team with five points, adding three rebounds and an assist in 28 minutes. Freshman Saleen Rios had four rebounds, three points, two steals, and one assist in 26 minutes.
