Freshman Cooper Perkinson captured individual medalist honors at the Chandler-Gilbert Coyote Classic, his second-straight tournament victory, with a final score of -7 (137) over Mar. 31 and Apr. 1 at Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. Perkinson opened with a six-under 66 to tie for the tournament lead after one day. He had seven birdies in the round, including five of the final seven holes. In his second round, Perkinson carded three more birdies en route to a one-under 71 and one-stroke victory on the final leaderboard.
