Freshman Cooper Perkinson won individual medalist honors at the Mesa Thunderbirds Spring Classic with a winning score of -11 (133) over Mar. 16-17 at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. Perkinson opened with a three-under 69 that featured five birdies. In his second round, Perkinson birdied two of the first three holes and posted an eagle three on the par-five No. 5. After a bogey on the par-three No. 7, he carded five birdies over the final 10 holes to capture individual medalist honors.
