Freshman infielder Leah Alcala had a big week at the plate for the SMCC softball team, helping the Cougars post a 4-0 record with doubleheader sweeps over Central Arizona and Chandler-Gilbert CC. Alcala totaled six hits, four runs, two RBIs, two doubles, and three stolen bases over the four victories. Alcala is batting .362 with five home runs and 31 RBIs in 41 games this season.
