SMCC Women's Basketball Forward Nei'Shae Clegg Transfers to Vermont State University-Lyndon

Sophomore Nei'Shae Clegg of the South Mountain Community College women's basketball team will transfer to Vermont State University-Lyndon to continue her intercollegiate basketball career in the upcoming 2025-26 season. A 5-6 forward from Coolidge, Ariz., Clegg appeared in 25 games and made 16 starts during the 2024-25 season and averaged 4.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for the season.
Clegg scored a season-high 10 points three times: vs. Valley Prep (Nov. 12), vs. the GCU Club Team (Nov. 15), and vs. Community Christian College (Dec. 13). She grabbed a season 16 boards vs. the GCU Club Team to post a double-double, and she finished with double-figure boards in two other contests.
She had a season-high three assists at Southern Nevada on Nov. 16 and recorded a season-high two steals five times.
The VTSU Lyndon Hornets are an NCAA Division III program in Lyndonville, Vt., that competes in the North Atlantic Conference. They finished 10-15 overall and 7-6 in NAC play during the 2024-25 season.
