Travis Vasquez, Blake Carabio Earn All-ACCAC Division II Honors

Freshman Travis Vasquez earned All-ACCAC Division II First Team honors, and sophomore Blake Carabio received a Second Team All-ACCAC Division II award for their work on the court for the South Mountain Community College men's basketball team during the 2025-26 season.
Vasquez averaged 12.6 points, 4.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game in 30 contests this season. In 18 conference games, Vasquez posted 12.4 points, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 rebounds. He closed the regular season scoring 18 points in three-straight league games, and poured in another 19 in the game before that three-game stretch.
He scored a season-high 23 points in a win over Benedictine-Mesa (JV) on Nov. 10, and scored more than 20 points two other times: against Chandler-Gilbert CC on Jan. 14 and against Community Christian College on Nov. 21. Vasquez knocked down a season-high six 3-pointers against Chandler-Gilbert CC on Jan. 14.
Vasquez led SMCC with 119 assists and dished out a season-high 10 helpers in a win over the GCU Club Team on Nov. 2. Against ACCAC DII opponents, Vasquez had seven assists at GCC on Feb. 11 and posted five other games with five assists. His 119 assists and 4.0 assists per game ranked fourth among all ACCAC Division II players in the regular season.
He posted a season-high six steals in the season-opening victory over Arizona Christian (JV) on Oct. 31. He recorded three steals in four other games for the Cougars.
Carabio appeared in 30 games and made 13 starts this season, leading SMCC in scoring at 14.1 points per game. He also averaged 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.3 assists per game. In 18 ACCAC DII contests, Carabio averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game.
Carabio made 86 3-pointers in the regular season, leading all ACCAC players regardless of Division. He scored a season-high 32 points and set a season high with seven 3-pointers in a road victory at Mesa CC on Jan. 10. Carabio scored more than 20 points seven other times during the season.
He grabbed a season-high eight rebounds and added five steals in a win over Phoenix College on Dec. 6. Carabio also produced a season-high six assists and six steals in a win over the Benedictine-Mesa (JV) on Nov. 10.
