Cash Callaway Named First Team All-ACCAC Division II

Sophomore guard Cash Callaway of the South Mountain Community College men's basketball team earned First Team All-ACCAC Division II honors for his work during the 2024-25 season. Callaway averaged 18.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in 31 contests and helped lead SMCC to a postseason berth in the Region I Division II Tournament.
For the season, Callaway shot 44.1 percent from the field (1297-447), 41.7 percent (98 of 235) from 3-point range, and 90 percent (72 of 80) from the free-throw line. He will finish in the top five in scoring in the conference for the season, and his 98 3-pointers could lead all ACCAC players once all the games are played.
Callaway averaged 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 steals in 18 ACCAC games for the Cougars. He finished third in the league in scoring in conference play, and his 1.9 steals per game tied for third. His 56 3-pointers were the most by any conference player in league action.
Callaway scored in double-figures in 29 of the 31 games he played and scored a career-high 33 points at home against Pima CC on Jan. 22. He scored 30 at Phoenix College on Jan. 18, 31 at home against Chandler-Gilbert CC on Jan. 11, and 29 against the New Mexico Military Institute on Nov. 15.
A prolific shooter from downtown, Callaway made a career-high seven 3-pointers three times: against NMMI on Nov. 15, at Phoenix College on Nov. 23, and at home against CGCC on Jan. 11. He had five other games with at least five 3-pointers.
He grabbed a career-high six rebounds five times and dished out a career-high eight assists against Park-Gilbert on Nov. 2. Callaway had a career-high four steals four times and three steals in six different games.
