Bio
Arizona native Keyleigh Thomas joined the South Mountain CC women's volleyball coaching staff in June 2026. Thomas brings years of competitive playing experience, coaching expertise, and a passion for athlete development to the volleyball program.
She began her volleyball career at Sunrise Mountain High School, where she was a four-year player. She also competed in club volleyball for 11 years with Fortitude Volleyball Club and Victorium Volleyball Club, gaining extensive experience competing at a high level throughout Arizona.
Thomas continued her athletic career at Illinois College, where she was a four-year member of both the volleyball and track & field teams. Throughout her collegiate career, she earned numerous All-Conference honors, reflecting her dedication, leadership, and success as a student-athlete.
In addition to competing, Thomas has been coaching with Atomic Volleyball Club for the past six years. She is passionate about developing athletes' technical skills, confidence, and love for the game while creating a positive and competitive environment for players of all ages.
Thomas is also a Certified Personal Trainer, using her knowledge of strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and overall fitness to help athletes perform at their highest level. Her background as both a collegiate athlete and coach allows her to take a well-rounded approach to player development, emphasizing athletic performance, health, and long-term success.
She earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and plans to continue her education by pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. Thomas is passionate about helping others achieve their goals both on and off the court and is committed to making a positive impact through coaching, fitness, and mentorship.
