Marcello Piana was born and lived in Buenos Aires Argentina until the age of 10. His family moved to the United States in 1986 and settled in New York City where he graduated from High School. Marcello was chosen as a member of the Olympic Development Team, Regional Select Team, and Empire State Team and was one of 20 players voted on the All High Schools Regional Team.
Marcello attended Dowling College where he played collegiate soccer three years under Head Coach John DiRico. During those years he played in 3 Regional’s Finals and 1 Final Four. They were also conference champions all three years.
He is entering his first season as the Head Woman’s Soccer Coach and third season as Men’s assistant coach at South Mountain Community College. Marcello manages the recruitment for both the Men’s and the Woman’s program and day to day team activities, practices and off season planning.
