SMCC (2008/09): Played in every tournament as a Freshman…Trent was named PING All-American as well as earning 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region Honors…Won 2 college tournaments the first of which was the Pima Invitational shooting rounds of 69, 75 and the SMCC Tri-Match with a round of 5-under 67… finished 2nd at the NJCAA Region I Championships with rounds of 70, 72, 69, 73…4th place at the SMCC Invitational firing 70, 70…T7 at the National Preview with rounds of 74, 71, 72…8th place at the Mesa Invitational shooting 76, 74…as well as 3 other top 20’s
Amateur Highlights: Qualified for the 2008 Arizona Amateur…Qualified for the 2008 Arizona Publinks…3rd Place in the 2007 AJGA preseason tournaments.
High School: Played for Coach Bill Hubele at McClintock HS….2006 took 5th place at the State Tournament as a junior…2007 took 3rd place at the State Tournament as a Senior…1st Team All-Region all 4 years of high school…1st Team All-State Junior and Senior year.
Personal: Born 01/27/90...the son of Ted and Lisa Ka’ahanui...has four brothers (Travis-22, Trevor-21 attending MCC, Trey-15 attending McClintock HS…2008 4A State Golf Champion, and Tyson-8) and 1 sister (Taryn-10). Trent is dedicated to improving as a golfer every day, becoming an Academic All-American, and helping the team battle for a conference, region, and national championship.
