GWCC (2008/09): Played in 5 out of 6 events for Gateway CC as a Freshman…received PING All-American award as well as earning 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Region honors…In the 5 conference events he played he was no worse then 12th place in any event …winning the Glendale Invitational with rounds of 71, 66…T4 at the Chandler-Gilbert Invitational firing rounds of 68, 69…Finished tied for 6th at the SMCC Invitational shooting 73, 69…T6 at the Phoenix Invitational with rounds of 70, 71 and T12 at the Pima Invitational.

Amateur Highlights:

High School: Played in every event until Senior year in high school when he switched schools to Precision HS who did not have a golf team.

Personal: Born 09/30/86...the son of Herman and Ofelina Gonzales. His daughter Mariah Eliana Gonzales was born August 2009. David is committed to improving his GPA in the classroom and being a key contributor to bringing another Conference, Regional, and National Championship to SMCC.
