Daven Vo begins his 2nd season at South Mountain CC. He is in charge of player development, recruiting and game preparation. Vo comes to SMCC after serving a short stint last year as an assistant at Grand Canyon University. Prior, he worked along with Coach Nichols here at SMCC where he was instrumental in the development of two All-Americans and a 25-8 record that led to a consolation championship at the NJCAA national tournament. Preceeding to SMCC, Vo served as a graduate assistant during the 2006-07 season at the University of Oklahoma. He studied under the tutelage of Jeff Capel and assisted in practice and player development.

An Oklahoma City native, Vo played at St. Gregory’s University. He earned academic and all-conference honors his senior year in the highly competitive Sooner Athletic Conference. He played basketball and tennis at Westmoore High School. The son of The and Houng Vo, he is the youngest of five.
