Assistant Coach Daven Vo begins his first season for the SMCC staff. He is in charge of player development, strength and conditioning, and recruiting.
 
Coach Vo comes to SMCC after serving as a graduate assistant during the 2006-07 season at the University of Oklahoma. He studied under the tutelage of Jeff Capel and assisted in player development.
 
An Oklahoma City native, Daven graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from St. Gregory’s University.  As a player, he lettered four times, was a two year starter and served as team captain his final two years at St. Gregory’s.  Daven earned Academic and All-Conference honors his senior year in the highly competitive Sooner Athletic Conference.  He prepped at Westmoore High School where he was a decorated basketball and tennis player.

The son of The and Houng Vo, born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK, is the youngest of five.
